SUMMER STUDENT THEATRE CAMP: STAGE READY
This July, Broadway Theatre League of Utica will be hosting a 4-day camp to get your theater loving child… STAGE READY. Students who attend this tailored summer camp will be led by NYC based talent and local area instructors covering everything from acting, dancing, singing to self-discovery and more. Broadway Utica’s Stage Ready Team will ensure that students achieve all they need to know to be ready to take the stage.
Stage Ready is geared towards students ages 12-18 from beginner to advanced who have a passion for the arts and everything both on stage and behind the scenes. Campers will attend workshops such as The Art of Auditioning, Song Writing, Improv, Hair and Makeup Design, Directing 101, Choreographed Dance, Understanding Acting, Vision Board Making and more. Over the course of several days, campers will have a backstage look into set design, script and resume writing, scene preparation and so much more. And every camper will receive a special digital headshot to submit at their next audition. More importantly, Stage Ready will leave the student with the skills and confidence on how to embrace their unique self.
Stage Ready will take place July 17th – 20th from 9am – 4pm at The Tabernacle Church behind The Stanley Theatre in Utica. Each student will receive a T-shirt and water/ light snacks will be available throughout the day. Children should pack a lunch Mon. -Wed. Lunch will be provided for students on Thursday to celebrate the last day. The cost to attend is $199.
