In memory of Board Member, Richard Enders 1941-2021
With great sadness we say goodbye to our dear friend, Richard Enders. Richard was a member of Broadway Theatre League of Utica’s Board of Directors for over thirty years. His professional knowledge of the law as well as the world on stage brought much insight and poise to the organization. He held a variety of roles throughout his term and helped guide the organization into what it is today. Most recently Richard was named as an emeritus member.
Richard had a true love for the theatre and for bringing joy to those around him. He was well known in our community for many reasons. Professionally, as an attorney, but also as an actor. Richard will forever be remembered for playing the lead role as Scrooge in the annual holiday show at the Stanley Theatre. Year after year, you could watch Richard play the part seamlessly. Richard performed on many other local stages, as well as being the host for the local weekly television show “Mohawk Valley Living”. Richard seemed to know that society, civilization and community work best when we all unite.
It saddens us to have lost such a graceful soul but we are so grateful for the time and all the memories we have shared with him over the years.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Rest in Peace.
