Celebrating Our Pretty Women: Generosity and Inspiration Unveiled
In a world where transformation, self-assurance, and feeling truly special are celebrated, Broadway Utica embarked on a heartwarming journey to recognize and honor the “Pretty Women” in our community. We called upon our community members to nominate exceptional individuals who embody the essence of these values, and the response was nothing short of overwhelming.
Pretty Woman: The Musical, presented by Broadway Utica at The Stanley Theatre on October 2-3, 2023, is a show that revolves around the transformative power of love and self-assurance. It’s a story that resonates with audiences because it celebrates the idea that everyone deserves to feel special and cherished.
Community members were encouraged to nominate their “Pretty Women” – those individuals who have touched their hearts and made a positive difference in their lives. The response to this call for nominations was heartwarming, with countless stories shared about remarkable women who enrich our community.
Out of the numerous nominations, several outstanding individuals were selected as nominees for our special Pretty Woman: The Musical initiative. These nominees were chosen because they exemplify the qualities celebrated in the show – transformation, self-assurance, and the feeling of being truly special.
To honor these exceptional women, Broadway Utica created five heartwarming baskets, each carefully curated with delightful goods. These baskets represent a tangible expression of love and appreciation for the nominees. Businesses and individuals from our community generously contributed spa vouchers, gift certificates, beauty products, and more. These contributions not only showcase the immense kindness within our community but also remind us that when we come together, we can create moments of joy and empowerment that will be cherished by these deserving women forever. We received contributions worth over $500 each from In Bloom Yoga, Alabaster & Ash, BE. Life. Art. Magic, Body By Design; Over $300 from BodyWise Pilates; $100 each from Lava Spa, Motus, Leatherstocking Abstracts & Title; Over $50 each from Abode, Polished & Posh.
Due to the overwhelming response to the nominations, Broadway Utica decided to take the celebration a step further. In addition to the basket prizes, two nominees were selected each day from September 25th through September 29th. One nominee received a basket filled with delightful goods, while another was awarded two tickets to the Private Dress Rehearsal performance of Pretty Woman: The Musical. This extension of the initiative allowed even more deserving individuals to experience the magic of the show.
The generosity displayed by our community members and businesses in creating the heartwarming baskets and providing tickets exemplifies the spirit of unity and kindness.
