Broadway Theatre League of Utica Launches Annual Appeal to Bring the Magic of Theater to Local Students
Initiative Aims to Raise $10,000 for Students to Experience “To Kill a Mockingbird” Live at The Stanley Theatre
The Broadway Theatre League of Utica is excited to announce the launch of its annual appeal, featuring the “Students on Broadway” program. This initiative is dedicated to making the enchantment of Broadway accessible to every child in the local community. The program’s inaugural goal is to raise $10,000 to offset the cost of tickets, sending local area students in grades 7-12 to experience the
powerful live presentation of “To Kill a Mockingbird” at The Stanley Theatre this June.
Danielle Padula, Executive Director of Broadway Theatre League of Utica, expressed the organization’s enthusiasm about the program, stating, “Our annual appeal takes on special significance this year with the introduction of the ‘Students on Broadway’ program. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of artists and arts enthusiasts by providing students with the unique opportunity to experience the transformative power of live theater.”
The “Students on Broadway” program aims to provide students with a chance to be inspired and enriched by the timeless and thought-provoking classic, “To Kill a Mockingbird.” The program not only contributes to the cultural enrichment of students but also fosters a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
“We invite the community to join us in making a difference by contributing to our annual appeal and specifically to the ‘Students on Broadway’ program,” Padula continued. “Your support will directly impact the lives of local students, allowing them to experience
the magic of Broadway and creating memories that will last a lifetime.”
