WHAT IS YAP?!
The Youth Ambassadors Program (YAP) is an exciting and inspiring opportunity designed for high school juniors and seniors who have a passion for the arts, creativity, and live theatre. Whether you dream of performing on stage, working behind the scenes, or simply love the magic of storytelling and artistic expression, YAP brings together students from across our community who share the same enthusiasm for the performing arts.
Through this one-of-a-kind program, students not only build friendships with other young artists and theatre lovers, but also become leaders and advocates for the arts within their community. YAP members experience unforgettable moments throughout the year, including attending every show in our season, meeting the talented cast and crew members from the professional touring companies that perform on our stage, and participating in meaningful community service projects that make a real difference.
In addition to these incredible experiences, senior members are eligible to apply for the prestigious Linda Leogrande Scholarship, an amazing opportunity that recognizes dedication and involvement in the arts. As the program proudly enters its 15th year, we are thrilled to continue growing a supportive, welcoming community where students can express themselves and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The arts create connections between individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities, while fostering inclusivity, creativity, and joy. Live theatre has the ability to inspire and uplift in ways unlike anything else. We are passionate about sharing this indescribable experience with the next generation and encouraging young people to use their voices, talents, and creativity to help strengthen and enrich our community through the arts.
