On Friday, September 19, Broadway Utica will be part of something really special, the fourth annual Mohawk Valley Gives. It’s a 24-hour day of giving where our entire community comes together to support local nonprofits. We’re so excited to take part again this year, and we’ve set ourselves a challenge: raising $25,000 in just one day!
Now, that might sound like a big number, but here’s why it matters. For more than 65 years, Broadway Utica has been bringing the magic of live theater to the Mohawk Valley. From big, star-studded productions to community-focused programs, everything we do is about making the arts accessible to everyone. And your support during Mohawk Valley Gives helps us keep it all going.
Programs You’ll Be Supporting:
When you give to Broadway Utica on September 19, you’re fueling programs that go way beyond the stage:
Youth Ambassador Program (YAP) — Local high school juniors and seniors get hands-on with Broadway, attending shows, meeting cast and crew, volunteering in the community, and even earning scholarships. Last year, we awarded more than $1,500 thanks to donors like you!
Students on Broadway — Nearly 8,000 local kids got to see a Broadway show last year, many for the very first time. This program gives at-risk and underserved students tickets at little to no cost, making sure theater is something every child can experience — not just a lucky few.
Beyond the Stage — Theater doesn’t just tell stories, it connects us. Through this program, we team up with local nonprofits to shine a spotlight on causes that matter and turn every show into an opportunity to give back.
UticaWorx — This one’s all about participation. Through workshops, summer camps, and classes, people of all ages and backgrounds get to learn from theater professionals, build confidence, and discover the joy of performing.
